why there’re so many immigrations in germany? 1

Standard

I am wondering about this situation for almost a year and finally started to read something about this…

and even after I read about it, I still suffering so much

it’s actually totally none of my business, but I feel sorry about unique culture and my annoyed feeling about the idea of guest worker and eu getting stronger and stronger…

why?

because as a matter of fact, I don’t like culture mixing…not because i don’t have a so called “open mind” nor because I belong to any kind of racist or extreme groups. Only based on my inner feeling

I cannot complain about us, because I am not living there, and even if I complain about it, nothing will happen, because it’s born like this. It was composed by mixed culture, mixed nations and mixed races (except native americans…isn’t  it ironic?)

Alright, here’s the thing? Why there’re so many turkish in germany (since 1950s…) and why there’re more and more Iranian and arabian in germany now?

I don’t know how many people care about it? but I am wondering if there’s anyone care about the original culture and original landscape?

If I go to Istanbul, I definitely want to see authentic turkish building and typical normal life of turkish people, but I don’t want to see it in the place where it not belongs to. If you see an apple grows on the pineapple tree, how do you feel?

it might be not such a bad feeling for me if the culture was mixed, but it’s just “überhaupt nicht”. Is it just that easy as what people thought, that because germany needs workers and turkish needs works”?

ohhh, maybe. I saw almost 80 percent of taxi drivers are turkish. but wait, why? why they have to stay here instead of going back to their homeland?

of courses the salary is higher, the living quality is higher and the social welfare is better? but why?

“Most Turks were convinced that they would only stay in Germany temporarily and would one day return to Turkey to build a new life for themselves with the money they had earned.” this was supposed to be, after the 1950s.

And why the guest workers project could finally work?

Theodor Blank (Secretary of State for Employment by the time, a first lieutenant at the end of World War II, one of the founders of the CDU in 1945) opposed this kind of agreement which was asked by turkish government, but because of the political pressure from united states, the German Department of Foreign Affairs carried on negotiations after this and in 1961 an agreement was reached…

so at least now I know germany does not want this to happen at the very beginning. But why it’s becoming even worse?

a strange Unification of Families Law came out in the year of 1974, thanks to this family law, the turkish population in germany doubled…people who decided to live in germany brought his family to germany, people who has been back to turkey decided to come again, because in this way, he can work with a good salary and spend time with family at the same time, and maybe change germany a little bit. They kept speaking their own languages, eating their own food (maybe better taste than schnitzel), and change some areas in germany into a turkish style.

The fall of the berlin wall in 1989 brought the anti-immigration in germany, especially in east germany, which was actually focusing on turkish people. The liberal german supported and take germany as a multicultural society. More ironically, “Citizenship laws that established eligibility according to place of birth rather than according to descent have been slow in coming and restrictions on dual citizenship are still onerous. However, increasing numbers of second-generation Turks have opted for german citizenship and are becoming more involved in the political process.”

45 years could create more than one generation, which means the doubled turkish population brought the same or even more population than their population. “In 2010, Chancellor angela Merkel said that multiculturalism in Germany had “failed utterly”. The German leader said it had been an illusion to think that Germans and foreign workers could “live happily side by side”. ”

you see, it’s not just me who feel weird about the situation….

Plus, I really don’t think this is related to TOLERANCE. just incase if there’s anyone gonna criticize me with this point. Because tolerance is different from culture occupation, or if you would prefer to call”culture invasion”.

I would like to say, Emperor Genghis khan and its kingdom had wisdom of tolerance, this saying might not be so accurately, but if you look up some thesis, some scholars are supporting this “theory”. While, but tolerance did not fit with native americans. They welcomed white people came to their land, and then became a even worse situation than slaves…they kept parts of their culture, but nor their lands. this absolutely has nothing to do with tolerance, they believed these new comers could live with them happily and peacefully. (i might do the same thing, if it’s the first time I saw somebody is so different from me, especially when the men of the group are attractive.) And to the theme I am writing about, it’s more like american made german believe that the guest workers will leave as soon as the crisis is over….they let them in and gave them jobs, not because of tolerance. A society, i believe, has a boundary of tolerance, when it was crossed, then it’s not tolerance anymore. when the nation is strong, no wonder there’ll be a lot of foreigners, but not the situation as letting 5 percent or even more of your population composed of one immigration group (considering there’re so many different immigration groups from different countries…)

to me, the even more frightening fact is, the social structure, through which you can see the future of one nation, to the statistic of the population updated in the year of 2003, you can see “50.5% are between 14 and 29 years old, whereas among Germans the comparable proportion is only 25%. In the Turkish population, 33.8% are between 39 and 49 years old, while 32% of Germans are within this age group. Only 15.7% of Turks are age fifty and above, while this is true of 43% of Germans. Overall, Turks in Germany make up a younger population than do Germans.”

Also, it’s sad that most of the turkish young people learn their mother-tongue at home, which is obviously lack of standard grammatical system learning and literature cultivation. And because of their turkish accent, some of them cannot speak german properly. Which might also will influence their social status in germany.

Besides, the lack of the feeling of belonging to a homeland will make the whole generation confused and suffered.
